Appointment Policy

Appointment Policy

Once an appointment is made the time is reserved for each individual patient. To avoid a broken appointment penalty patients are required to notify Summit Dental two business days in advance of any cancellation.

Will I be charged for missed or cancelled appointments?

Sometimes a missed appointment fee will be charged for a missed or cancelled appointment depending on the individual situation. We require two business days notice to move or cancel an appointment. This allows our staff time to offer the appointment to another patient (and allows that person time to make personal arrangements with their employer, babysitter, etc.).

Our policy is to call two weeks prior to scheduled cleaning appointments which have been booked three months or longer in advance. This allows our patients time to check their schedules and get benefit information in order in case a change has occurred. We also make a second courtesy call to confirm all dental appointments at least two business days before the scheduled appointment. We do appreciate a call back to let us know your appointment is confirmed.
